Steelhead Food Co. is a family-owned and operated fresh fish and seafood wholesale supplier, as well as a public market, dedicated to providing premium, high-quality products. Founded in April 2015 by husband and wife duo Matt and Meg McTaggart, Steelhead began as a small operation focused on the supply of smoked trout. Since then, the business has grown into a multifaceted company offering a full range of fresh, smoked, live, and frozen fish and seafood, serving both wholesale and retail customers.

Steelhead is committed to sourcing the best products possible, with a focus on sustainability. Many of their offerings come from wild fisheries, but the company also takes pride in sourcing responsibly farmed fish and seafood from Canada and beyond. Whenever possible, the team cuts fish in-house to ensure customers receive the freshest products available.

Steelhead Food Co. also proudly operates two retail locations, both open year-round to the public. The main location, located in St. Thomas, is attached to the processing facility, where customers can watch skilled hand cutters prepare their fish. The second location, in Port Stanley, offers a true lake-to-table experience, with customers able to watch the boat come into dock as they shop for fresh fish and seafood.
