Solitude Nature Reserve

Solitude Nature Reserve is a 35-acre wilderness retreat located between Port Stanley and Port Bruce, offering visitors a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature. The reserve provides free campsites from July to September, with six campsites nestled within the woods, each featuring a tent platform, picnic table, fire pit, and composting toilet. Solitude is also open year-round for hiking, with trails available for walking and exploration, and day-use visitors are welcome to enjoy the woods or have a peaceful picnic by the pond. Overnight camping is available by permit, which can be obtained by emailing info@pmc-foundation.com—there is no fee for camping. The main trail, Maeve’s Way, runs north to south and is wheelchair, stroller, and walker accessible, thanks to generous support from TD Friends of the Environment, MEC London, and the Friends of Solitude. Whether you’re seeking a day of hiking or a night under the stars, Solitude Nature Reserve offers a tranquil setting to embrace the beauty of nature.
