Shannondoe Farm is a stunning country property located in Elgin County, Ontario, that offers a unique and picturesque setting for outdoor weddings and events. Established in 1968 as a horse farm and fish hatchery, the farm has evolved into one of Canada’s leading Thoroughbred breeding operations. While no longer an active hatchery, the farm still features its iconic spring-fed ponds, which add charm and character to the property. The heart of the farm is a beautiful 6-acre pond, surrounded by a 1-acre island accessible by a 100-foot-long bridge—perfect for a dramatic bridal entrance and breathtaking wedding photos with swans and ducks swimming nearby.

Shannondoe Farm’s serene atmosphere, complemented by fully matured trees, offers both shade and a tranquil setting for guests and the wedding party. The surrounding horse pastures provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for memorable moments and photos, and there’s always a horse or two available for your special pictures. We can accommodate small ceremonies or larger celebrations with up to 250-300 guests, complete with a tented reception. In addition to weddings, the farm is also available for bridal showers, baby showers, family reunions, class reunions, business meetings, and seminars, all set amidst the beauty of our gazebo nestled in the trees. For larger events, a tent—either open-sided or fully enclosed—can be provided.
