Elgin County Archives

The Elgin County Archives is dedicated to acquiring, preserving, and providing access to municipal records, including council minutes, by-laws, tax assessment rolls, maps, and more, dating back to 1852. The Archives also houses an extensive collection of public and private records, such as documents related to Alma College, the Scott Studio, fire insurance plans, local newspapers, and a wealth of genealogical resources.
