Anything Used & Sparta Country Candles

Founded in 1992 by Pat and Mary Muscat, Anything Used & Sparta Country Candles is a charming store located in the historic Village of Sparta. Housed in a general store built in 1838, our shop spans two floors filled with unique home décor, candle accessories, seasonal items, and our signature Sparta Country Candles. Our story began in the early 1990s when customers sought high-quality, affordable candles. Struggling to find such a product, we introduced Sparta Country Candles in 1995. Starting with just 18 candles a night produced in our family kitchen, our operation now produces hundreds of candles daily.

We took a hands-on approach to research, consulting knowledgeable experts before the internet era, to create a high-quality candle that was both affordable and long-lasting. Our Sparta Country Candles contain up to three times more scent than the average candle, ensuring a richer experience. We were also pioneers in introducing refills for our 12 oz. jar candles, offering even more value for our customers. Our candles are made with 100% non-toxic, biodegradable materials, using a food-grade paraffin wax that meets strict environmental and safety standards. With cotton wicks and a variety of fragrances, our candles help create a relaxing atmosphere in your home. We also offer unique tabletop wax warmers and plug-in warmers to enjoy our signature scents.
