Plein Air Painting Demo

Join local, award-winning artist Denise Antaya for this amazing demonstration, and learn her process as she creates a piece of art in real time.

Plein Air is a French term that translates to “open air” or “outdoors.” It refers to the practice of painting outdoors, directly from nature, rather than in a studio.

Denise will be set up in the gardens and will explain:

• how she chooses her subject
• composition
• how and why she does an underpainting
• how she adds colour to complete the work

Then paint your own scene with guidance and feedback throughout.

Perfect for those with an intermediate experience level in painting / drawing.
